Diversity Equity, and Inclusion

The diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) committee is principally responsible for evaluating and recommending changes for our organizationā€™s protocols, procedures, and practices to align with our mission to become a more diverse and inclusive space. We hope to form long-standing connections to more effectively advocate for improvements to graduate student life in the context of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Current Initiatives

  • Organize regular discussions between the GSAS administration and student affinity groups for education and advocacy purposes
  • Work with the Yale Office for Graduate Student Development & Diversity to improve and assist with diversity recruitment efforts
  • Review and assess existing DEI strategies compiled by various GSAS departments to assist in fostering a supportive and inclusive academic community across GSASĀ
