The International Students Committee works to address some of the unique challenges that face international students, such as complex visa complications, economic hardships, and an increasingly hostile political environment.

Current Initiatives

  • Working with other campus organizations to organize advocacy and awareness campaigns to protect the international student community at Yale, such as a campus-wide response to the DHS proposal Docket No.

  • Tracking and communicating the most up-to-date immigration rules and policy changes to the GSAS, ensuring timely and accurate information reaches those who need it

  • Developing a checklist for upper-year international graduate students that outlines key stapes they should take before graduating

  • Advocating for more culturally sensitive counseling services for students navigating immigration-related stress/trauma
