GSA advocates for more and better graduate dorms, apartments, and support for students who live in non-Yale properties.

We have a close relationship with George Longyear in the Graduate Housing administration, and in the past, we have organized regular meetings with George and graduate students.  If you'd like to get involved or voice your thoughts, we'd love to put you in regular contact with Grad Housing.

We also annually lobby the Yale Corporation, as well as sometimes Provost Andy Hamilton and President RIck Levin, for improvements in availability and existing facilities for graduate housing.  This year the Corporation and the Yale Secretary for Corporation Affairs Pat Zandy assured us that various levels of Yale's top administration are actively considering for improving graduate housing.

GSA has asked the Corporation, the Graduate School Deans, and Graduate Housing Office to involve graduate students in decision-making and planning processes for graduate housing's future at Yale.

If you're a Yale graduate student with suggestions, concerns, and a desire to share these thoughts with Yale's administration, please contact GSA Reps Gwen Bradford and Elizabeth Kim.  We'd love to work with you to let Yale know what graduate students need and want in the way of housing.
