The Transit and Security Committee met with Holly Parker (head of Transit Options for Yale Transportation) and Lisa Brandes (head of Student Life at the McDougal Center) to discuss opportunities for graduate students to get involved with biking on campus. Some of the initiatives that were discussed included getting involved with a campus-wise bike sharing program, promoting bike safety and bike registration at the McDougal Center, increasing the amount of bike lanes in downtown New Haven, and obtaining bike racks for key locations on campus.

The Transit and Security Committee is currently working with Yale College Council, Elm City Cycling, the Yale Student Environmental Coalition and the Graduate and Professional Student Senate to increase awareness and support for student bikers.
